IT Support Specialist- (Onsite Validation) Dispatch/Freelance

About the Role

Onsite validation of IT assets: update the provided inventory and Additional Devices sheet, perform node device health checks, capture site photographs, and submit updated files and remarks for any discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Inventory List Update – Validate all assets listed in the provided inventory file and update the following columns: Column M – Stock Room Name; Column N – Validated (Yes / No); Column O – Remarks. Validation Guidelines: If the asset is physically available and verified, update Validated = Yes and mention the exact Stock Room Name (example: IT Store Room, Server Room, Network Rack Room, Local Stock Room, etc.). If the asset is not available or cannot be verified, update Validated = No and mention a clear reason in the Remarks column (examples: User working from home (WFH); User not available at site; Asset user has left the organization; Asset not found at site; Device under maintenance).
• Additional Devices Sheet Update – Check for any additional devices present at the site that are not included in the provided inventory list and update the “Additional Devices” sheet with maximum available details, including: Device Type; Make & Model; Serial Number (if available); Asset Tag (if available); Location / Stock Room Name; Current Status (In Use / Idle / Spare); Relevant Remarks. If complete information is not available, update all identifiable details from the site.
• Node Device Health Check – Verify whether the Node device is operational and functioning properly. If the Node device is not working, confirm the root cause (site maintenance, power failure, hardware failure) and capture and share clear pictures of the Node device as evidence.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Every validated asset must have a Stock Room Name.
• Every non-validated asset must have a proper remark explaining the reason.
