Job Summary

Under close supervision, performs routine aspects of engineering assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to prescribed techniques and procedures to complete project assignments. Supports I&C engineering activities for power plant projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support a team of I&C engineers and assist in the technical design, procurement, planning and coordination for power plants.
• Work as part of the project team to generate engineering design documents and deliverables for systems related to the power plant.
• Prepare design documents including logics, network architecture diagrams, instrument lists, I/O lists, instrument installation details, schematics and wiring drawings, calculations, studies, technical specifications, and more.
• May mentor junior engineers, review and provide oversight of their work or assignments.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Previous I&C design experience for large scale power plants. New graduates are welcomed.
• Experience developing control system network architecture diagrams, I/O lists, instrument data sheets, control narratives, control logic diagrams, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for control and instrumentation.
• Experience preparing procurement specifications for I&C equipment and selecting instrumentation and process automation systems.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to be both an individual contributor and work effectively in teams, accept internal and external (client) feedback, and maintain some flexibility in work hours if required by the client or project.
• Willingness to learn processes and procedures specific to the power industry.
• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program. Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements which may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
