Manual Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of applications throughout the software development lifecycle. The QA Engineer analyzes requirements, designs and executes test cases, manages defects, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software releases.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners, BAs, and developers to analyze requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria; clarify ambiguities and ensure testability
• Design comprehensive test cases, scenarios and test data for functional, integration and regression testing; identify edge cases and boundary conditions
• Execute manual test cases, validate bug fixes, perform re-testing and align test execution with release timelines
• Log and track defects with clear reproduction steps and expected vs. actual results; collaborate with developers to resolve issues
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, provide testing status updates and highlight risks to stakeholders
• Improve QA processes, standards and documentation; support UAT preparation and validation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manual testing and hands-on SQA (manual)
• Strong understanding and working experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
• Experience in large-scale software development is preferred
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff, prioritize multiple assignments and manage time effectively
• Familiarity with QA tools and automation frameworks; CI/CD pipeline integration experience is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Skills

• Must Have: Test case design & execution, functional/regression/integration testing, defect management & tracking, Agile/Scrum experience, familiarity with QA tools and automation frameworks
• Good To Have: Load testing, CI/CD pipeline integration, experience managing people and processes, large-scale software development experience
