Religion Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer Project

Responsibilities

• Engage the model with religious or historical scenarios, analytical and interpretive questions, and cultural context tasks.
• Evaluate accuracy, neutrality, and logical consistency of model outputs.
• Capture reproducible error traces and document failure modes.
• Provide structured feedback to improve prompts, evaluation frameworks, and reasoning quality.
• Identify where models oversimplify beliefs, misinterpret texts, or present inaccurate historical or cultural information.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with world religions, theology, religious history, philosophy of religion, comparative religion, sacred texts, or cultural/anthropological perspectives on belief systems.
• A degree in religious studies, theology, history, anthropology, or a related humanities field is preferred but not required.
• Entry-level candidates with coursework, independent study, teaching experience, or strong personal/academic interest in religion and cultural studies are encouraged to apply.
• Clear, metacognitive communication—explicitly articulating reasoning and interpretive steps (“showing your work”)—is essential.

Benefits

• Pay range: $6 to $65 per hour; exact rate determined after evaluating experience, expertise, and geographic location. Final offer amounts may vary from the pay range listed above.
• Freelance / Contract role; as a contractor you must supply a secure computer and high-speed internet; company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
