About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead Infrastructure Engineer to design, scale and maintain infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters on AWS, provide CI/CD tooling, and lead technical infrastructure design and implementation for Omise products used by corporate clients globally.

Responsibilities

• Design, scale, and maintain infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters on AWS.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Collaborate with developers and help deploy applications (Elixir and Golang).
• Provide tooling and CI/CD for automated deployments of Omise applications.
• Architect and scale infrastructure to ensure high reliability and availability.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerts to meet defined SLAs and SLOs.
• Lead technical infrastructure design and implementation, including coaching team members.
• Participate in on-call rotation to respond to emergencies during off-work hours.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps-related roles.
• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes internals and experience with Amazon EKS.
• Experience with AWS services (Kubernetes/EKS, Networking, Security, RDS).
• Networking experience in routing, load balancing, TLS, and AWS VPC.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD setups and automated deployments.
• Proven ability to design, test, and implement technical architecture and drive complex tasks.
• Leadership skills to supervise and guide team members.
• Ability to improve and reduce infrastructure costs; self-manage, quality-oriented, adaptable and well-organized.
• Strong English language skills (both verbal and written).

Nice to Have

• Service Mesh: Istio.
• Kubernetes automation with Flux and Helm.
• ElasticSearch clusters and high availability.
• Datadog logging, monitoring and alerting.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Pgbouncer.
• Security background and experience with PCI-DSS compliance.
