About the Role

Cultural Content Reviewer (AI Training) at Alignerr. This is a fully remote, flexible hourly contract role open to applicants from all backgrounds and regions.

Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated content — including text, images, and recommendations — for cultural accuracy and sensitivity
• Identify material that is inappropriate, outdated, stereotyping, or likely to cause offense in your cultural context
• Provide regional context and suggest culturally authentic alternatives
• Evaluate whether localizations and translations feel natural to a native audience
• Submit clear, structured feedback using provided evaluation tools
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Qualifications

• Deep, lived familiarity with the culture, customs, values, and social norms of your region
• Able to catch cultural missteps that outsiders — or AI — would easily miss
• Strong written communication skills in English
• Thoughtful and balanced in your evaluations and able to explain your reasoning clearly
• Detail-oriented and consistent across tasks
• No academic background in cultural studies required — real-world knowledge is what matters

Nice to Have

• Experience in translation, localization, journalism, or content review
• Familiarity with AI tools or content evaluation workflows
• Knowledge of regional subcultures, dialects, or minority communities within your area
