T&T Business Analyst (Core Banking) - MY

About the Company

Service Line / Portfolios: Enterprise Technology & Performance. Location: Kuala Lumpur (MY), Jakarta (ID), Bangkok (TH). This role sits within the Core Banking offering in the Technology, Strategy & Transformation team focused on design and implementation of core banking platforms across Retail, SME, Commercial and Private Banking.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the end-to-end requirement lifecycle across banking products, from elicitation to validation to sign-off, ensuring completeness, traceability and delivery readiness aligned with regulatory requirements and industry practices.
• Classify requirements into out-of-the-box, configuration, product customisation, integration and gaps; propose solution options and trade-offs (cost, time, functionality).
• Develop decision-ready artefacts for business requirements, including BRDs, FSDs, process flow diagrams and user stories.
• Support development of interface specifications and implementations, and lead functional system testing efforts.
• Support data migration activities: validate data mapping rules, cleansing and transformation criteria, and reconciliation rules.
• Support SIT/UAT cycles by providing inputs into test cases and coordinating issue resolution.
• Lead and mentor a team of junior business analysts to ensure high-quality delivery and adherence to timelines.
• Support end-user training, cutover planning and post-go-live stabilisation efforts.
• Collaborate with global teams and engage with new-age solution providers to shape and deliver large-scale core banking programmes.
• As a leader: develop diverse high-performing teams, build productive relationships, align teams to key objectives, make informed decisions, influence stakeholders, lead with integrity and drive high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a technology or business discipline from a well-ranked institution.
• 6–10 years' relevant experience with demonstrable business analysis and project management experience.
• Experience leading end-to-end requirement lifecycle for at least 2 full-cycle core banking implementations or major upgrades for medium/large banks; ASEAN delivery experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of one or more functional domains: retail lending, SME lending, corporate loans, deposits (CASA and TD).
• Extensive experience writing functional specification documents (BRD, FSD, user stories, process flows) and connecting business processes across applications with understanding of upstream/downstream dependencies.
• Strong leadership skills managing cross-functional teams and experience working on Agile delivery methodologies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills; ability to build consensus and foster change in ambiguous settings.
• Understanding of the new-age solution provider landscape and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape and deliver opportunities.
• Commitment to professional excellence, client-focused, results-oriented, and willing/able to travel locally and abroad for project assignments.
• Functional or core banking specific certifications are desirable.
