Manager, Manufacturing Process Engineering 1

About the Role

The Manager, Manufacturing Process Engineering is responsible for leading and managing the design, development, deployment and optimization of manufacturing processes to achieve quality, cost and delivery goals for Celestica and its customers' products. Onsite in Laem Chabang, Chonburi, Thailand.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement customer technical roadmap and related process development projects.
• Lead and implement the development and release of the full manufacturing process for new customer products.
• Provide feedback on customer technical requirements to team members and management.
• Develop and implement costed and optimized recommendations using Design for Manufacturability (DFX) tools and processes to reduce manufacturing cost and improve quality and reliability.
• Develop, plan and lead assessment of process capability using Design of Experiments.
• Devise process controls and data collection strategies; evaluate complex data to report yield, reliability and diagnose root-cause failures affecting product quality.
• Ensure accurate and timely communication to management on critical technical and business issues.
• Set yearly plans and goals for the department; direct expected performance, provide regular performance evaluations and ongoing feedback; accountable for department objectives and KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years professional experience in backend / mechanical assembly in the electronics industry.
• Solid knowledge and familiarity with CAD, Step file, Valor, Cadence Allegro, GCPrevue, SAP and MS Office.
• Leadership and communication skills.
