Technical Support Engineer - Bangkok

Responsibilities

• Work as Technical Support Engineer, Tier‑2 Support for the ASIA region, providing services and support for Gilat products and solutions.

Qualifications

• B.E / B. Electronics / Telecommunication / Communication Engineering / Computer Science.
• At least 2 years of experience working as a customer service engineer in a customer environment (Must).
• Advanced English level (Must).
• Chinese business level (advantage).
• Working knowledge in TCP/IP networking (protocols, sniffer captures and analysis) (Must).
• Experience with networking: routing protocols, configuration and troubleshooting (Must).
• Experience in Linux OS administration (Must).
• Cisco certification CCNA (commands, configuration, routing protocols) (advantage).
• Familiarity with managing virtual machine environments such as KVM, Xen, Hyper-V, VirtualBox, and vSphere (advantage).
• Familiarity with VSATs and satellite communications (advantage).
• Familiarity with RF equipment and testing tools (RFT, UPLC, ACU, cables types, connectors, spectrum analyzer, power meter, etc.) (advantage).
• DevOps and scripting languages (e.g. Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, bash, batch) (advantage).
• Familiarity with container orchestration using Kubernetes (advantage).
• Ability to travel abroad (Must).
• Ability to work during weekends and holidays when necessary.
