SAP BTP Developer (HANA Integration)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Developer with strong expertise in SAP HANA integration and full-stack web application development. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and support scalable solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), focusing on enterprise integrations, APIs, cloud-native applications, and data connectivity, and will collaborate closely with functional teams, integration specialists, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications on SAP BTP using technologies such as CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), Java, and SAP UI5
• Build and manage integrations between SAP BTP and SAP HANA Cloud databases
• Develop APIs, services, and interface solutions for system-to-system communication
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Optimize SAP HANA data models, queries, and application performance
• Ensure application security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, integration teams (SAP CI/CPI), and business users
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing support and enhancements
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and best practice initiatives
• Support deployment, testing, and production release activities

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in SAP BTP development
• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP services and CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model)
• Java development experience
• Experience with SAP UI5 / Fiori
• Experience with SAP HANA Cloud and strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and SQL optimization
• Experience with API integration and enterprise interface development
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in enterprise SAP environments
• Exposure to microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and application security concepts
• Ability to work in cross-functional and fast-paced project environments
• Experience with integration platforms such as SAP CI/CPI is a plus
