Area Technical Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to sales activities and ensure effective technical service delivery within the assigned territory.
• Support customers with product and process recommendations, troubleshooting, on-site evaluations, and product qualifications to strengthen customer relationships and drive business growth.
• Serve as a technical resource and spokesperson by educating and training customers, distributors, and internal teams.
• Gather customer feedback on technical requirements and market trends to support continuous improvement and business development.
• Identify, plan, and execute technical programs to enable innovative applications and expand existing and new technologies aligned with company objectives.
• Collaborate with technical, manufacturing, engineering, R&D, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful program execution and strategic support.
• Participate in technical strategic planning and support regional business and marketing initiatives as needed.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, blogs, and documentation of experimental findings.
• Engage in continuous technical learning and professional development through training, conferences, projects, and market research.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management or supervisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a process engineering role in a Semiconductor or SMT environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Thai.
• Independent self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and travel within the region.
• Experience or knowledge of SPC, troubleshooting, and 8D reports is a plus.
• Responsible, able to take ownership of tasks and drive daily activities for the area.
• Strong team player with leadership skills and understanding of customer/supplier relationships.
• Able to handle customer complaints, work under stress and within constraints, and demonstrate self-initiative to improve work efficiency.

Skills

• Report writing and preparation of technical documentation and presentations.
• Customer training and technical support for product/process issues.
• Knowledge of SPC, troubleshooting methodologies and 8D problem-solving approaches (preferred).
• Ability to collaborate across functions (R&D, manufacturing, sales, marketing).

Additional Information

• Onsite role with frequent travel required; expected travel approximately 25%–50%.
