(Senior) Test Engineer

About the Role

We seek a talented test engineer to support new projects from feasibility tests for protocol / EB builds to MP ECN change qualification in Vietnam. Manage project operations with 3rd party labs, factory and engineering teams and quality team, with support from the Suzhou testing team. Based in Rayong with travel to OEMs in other provinces.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to regulations and corporate policies and procedures.
• Ensure Test items in DQTP are aligned to related standards, Product Specifications/Drawings and customer requirements.
• Create DQTP for new projects and ECNs, and create key component test plans.
• Arrange tests and follow up schedules according to approved DQTP.
• Inspect and analyze failed test samples; review test data for accuracy.
• Generate Jira issues and communicate with teams for improvement, verification and closure.
• Provide weekly reports on project testing status and deliver test summaries/reports on time.
• Develop new test fixtures and new test protocols per requirements.
• Complete Test Requests in the system on time and provide technical support to supplier laboratories.
• Implement NPD & ECN testing per DQTP and related test protocols and support product readiness activities for new products.
• Review customer return data to develop new test items or fixtures and provide test engineering support for customer complaint investigations.
• Provide technical training for test technicians and operators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree required.
• 6+ years working experience in a laboratory environment.
• Experience in household appliance testing and in generating test protocols and evaluating equipment and fixtures.
• Working knowledge of related UL, IEC and ASTM standards and applying standards to verify margins during qualification.
• Demonstrated high level of engagement and self-motivation; good coordination skills and teamwork spirit.
• Proficiency in speaking, writing and reading English; Chinese (Mandarin) is a plus.

• Knowledge of ISO9001 and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of statistical tools and manufacturing & development processes.
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office, Excel).
• Experience with QC/inspection and test fixture/protocol development.
• Report writing and technical communication skills.
