Consultant Senior, Professional Services – Asset Finance

About the role

As a Consultant Senior, Professional Services – Asset Finance, you will lead functional consulting and solution-delivery activities for technology supporting the asset finance lifecycle. You will work directly with financial institutions and internal technology teams to understand business requirements, optimize processes and translate complex needs into effective functional and system solutions. You will support implementations, configurations, migrations, upgrades and integrations while helping ensure solutions meet client requirements and quality standards.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and definition of business processes, system scope, objectives and functional requirements for asset finance solutions.
• Work with clients and internal stakeholders to elicit, analyze and validate business needs, then translate them into process models, functional specifications, data models and solution requirements.
• Lead functional activities across system configurations, implementations, conversions, migrations, upgrades and integrations.
• Configure and validate solutions, support testing and acceptance activities, and confirm that delivered functionality meets agreed user and business requirements.
• Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities while guiding clients and internal teams throughout the solution-delivery lifecycle.

Required qualifications

• Extensive experience in business analysis, functional consulting or professional services within financial services or financial technology.
• Strong knowledge of asset finance products, processes and operational workflows, including origination, documentation, servicing, accounting, collections, asset management, settlements and end-of-contract activities.
• Experience translating complex business requirements into business process models, use cases, functional specifications, data models and system requirements.
• Experience implementing and configuring technology solutions, with a working understanding of SQL, API integrations and data mapping.
• Strong understanding of complete software-development lifecycles and requirements-definition methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and iterative delivery approaches.

Preferred qualifications

• A degree in computer science or information systems, or relevant professional experience in banking, lending, leasing or asset finance.
• Experience working with asset finance or leasing technology platforms and supporting enterprise implementations.
• Accounting, lease-accounting or financial product experience within an asset finance environment.
