Language Specialist

About the Role

Khmer Language Specialist (Freelance) - Thailand. We are currently looking for a Khmer Language Specialist based in Thailand to join an exciting freelance language project. This is an opportunity for native/proficient Khmer speakers with strong linguistic skills and attention to detail to work on high-impact multilingual AI and language-related tasks. Location: Thailand (Remote/Freelance). Project Type: Freelance / Contract-Based. Important: Candidates must currently be residing in Thailand; applications from candidates located outside Thailand will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and improve Khmer language content
• Perform translation, localization, and linguistic quality checks
• Ensure cultural and contextual accuracy in Khmer content
• Review AI-generated outputs and make corrections where required
• Follow project guidelines and maintain high-quality standards
• Collaborate with project managers and language teams as needed

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Khmer
• Must currently be located and residing in Thailand
• Strong reading and writing skills in Khmer and English
• Prior experience in translation, localization, annotation, content review, or linguistic projects is preferred
• Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Comfortable working on freelance/remote projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI training, data annotation, or language validation projects
• Background in linguistics, translation, or localization
• Familiarity with QA/review workflows
