AI Engineer

About the Role

AI Engineer at Gulf Development Public Company Limited responsible for end-to-end AI development, deployment, monitoring and technical support for generative AI applications.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end AI development lifecycle: ideation, model/tool selection, implementation, testing, rollout, monitoring and optimization.
• Model optimization: fine-tune and optimize large-scale generative models (e.g., LLMs) using techniques like RLHF.
• Prompt engineering: design and manage advanced prompts to control and improve model output quality and safety.
• Data curation: curate high-quality datasets for model fine-tuning and building knowledge bases.
• RAG system development: build and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines, including vector databases.
• Deployment & API integration: deploy models and develop scalable APIs for application integration.
• Evaluation & safeguarding: evaluate model performance and implement safeguards against hallucination and bias.
• Project coordination & communication: report plans, status, risks to governance and stakeholders; serve as single point of contact for assigned applications; provide training and system specification documentation.
• Technical support & improvement: investigate and resolve application functionality issues, provide 1st/2nd level support, troubleshoot and identify required modifications; learn new technologies to adapt to evolving business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Deep technological expertise in AI development and cloud platforms.
• Good command of English (Minimum 750 TOEIC score).
• Personal attributes: goal-oriented, learning mindset, flexible.

Skills / Technical Skills

• Expert-level Python programming; hands-on experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain for building agentic workflows and chains.
• Prompt engineering and LLM fine-tuning (including RLHF) and evaluation.
• Design and build RAG solutions with vector databases.
• Microsoft Azure: Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Search (Cognitive Search), Azure AI Studio, Copilot integration.
• Google Cloud / Vertex AI: Vertex AI platform, Vertex AI Search & Conversation, Model Garden / Generative AI Studio, Vertex AI Pipelines.
• Deploy models and expose scalable APIs; implement monitoring, optimization and safeguards for production systems.
