Senior Business Analyst - Health Insurance (Fully Remote)

Responsibilities

• Work with clients and technical resources to identify business problems and develop appropriate analytical solutions.
• Plan and design simple to semi-complex business processes and system modifications; make recommendations to improve and support business activities.
• Gather business requirements through work sessions and interviews; analyze and document complex client business requirements and processes and communicate them to relevant parties.
• Create complex test case scenarios and monitor/oversee testing to verify client requirements are incorporated into system design.
• Develop business requirements documents and user stories to support required modifications.
• May plan, allocate and monitor work of other business analysts.
• Understand systems and related data to surface actionable insights and demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making.
• Assist in providing time estimates for project tasks and aid in updating process and procedural documentation.
• Develop basic understanding of technical development cycle for mobile applications or web portals and support QA, UAT and Release phases via defect analysis and change maintenance.
• Perform any other tasks that may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Degree in Business, IT or a relevant field.
• Previous experience working in the insurance industry is required.
• Health insurance domain certification from INS/LOMA or III is an advantage.
• Knowledge of business analysis concepts: defining requirements, translating to technical solutions, and Agile approach to prioritization (epics, sprints).
• Business analysis skills including facilitation, process documentation, requirements gathering and user acceptance testing.
• Experience in an Agile and/or Scrum environment is a must.
• Good organizational and time management skills to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; technical writing skills are a plus.
• Must be based in Thailand and must be fluent in Thai.

Skills / Technical Skills

• Generate process documentation and document system functionality, data integration and workflow.
• Create and manage complex test cases for QA and UAT.
• Basic understanding of mobile app and web portal development lifecycle.
