APAC Quality Assurance Manager

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform and evaluate internal plant process audits of all areas for Continental and off-take plants in the APAC region; conduct QM system, process and product audits in all relevant plants.
• Ensure establishment of necessary corrective measures and follow up on the realization of the defined measures.
• Create, update and communicate recurring reports; review actual status, monitor trends, initiate corrective actions when necessary, and prepare presentations for upper management.
• Act as consultant for other departments and projects on quality-related questions and improve cooperation with central functions such as Engineering, Process Development, R&D, Manufacturing, Central Customer Service and Marketing.
• Conduct technical training and quality tools methodology with plants and central functions.
• Develop and continuously review product and process quality standards in central and plant locations; develop and improve process-related documentation as part of the QM system in the plants.
• Participate in and lead QM-related projects across Engineering, Process Development, R&D, Manufacturing, Central Customer Service and Marketing.
• Organise and lead (Curing) Regional Process Community for APAC plants; collect and resolve bottom-up challenges with Global Process Communities, review feasibility and monitor implementation of PoMS documentation and share best practices.

Qualifications

• Engineer (mechanical, chemical) or similar education background.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in tyre production, plant quality management or R&D; tyre background recommended.
• Advanced knowledge in IATF16949, ISO9001, Six Sigma and similar qualifications, SPS.
• Leadership experience not mandatory; strong interpersonal skills (able to communicate effectively, take initiative, etc.) required.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% of work time.
• Fluent English is required.
