Business Development Engineer – Renewable Energy (Solar / Wind)

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Engineer to support the development of renewable energy projects including utility-scale solar and wind power plants. The role will focus on project origination, feasibility analysis, and project development from early-stage opportunity to project execution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, legal, and project management to expand the company’s renewable energy portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new solar PV and wind power project opportunities, including site screening, land assessment, and resource analysis
• Support land acquisition and stakeholder engagement
• Conduct technical feasibility studies; analyze solar irradiation, wind resources, and grid connection options
• Support development of project financial models and investment analysis
• Coordinate project development activities including permitting, licensing, and regulatory approvals
• Support preparation of Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and project proposals
• Manage project development milestones including PPA signing, financial close, and COD
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, finance, procurement, legal) and engage external stakeholders (government authorities, consultants, project partners)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
• 3–5 years of experience in renewable energy, power generation, or infrastructure projects; experience in solar PV or wind project development preferred
• Understanding of renewable energy project development lifecycle, grid connection, energy regulations, and permitting process
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Good command of English
