Senior Accountant (GL, Tax & Fixed Assets - BOI Manufacturing)

About the Company

At Corbion, our Rayong manufacturing site plays an important role in delivering sustainable ingredient solutions to customers around the world. We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of General Ledger accounting, tax compliance, fixed assets, and Board of Investment (BOI) accounting activities in a complex manufacturing environment.
This position offers the opportunity to work at the heart of plant operations, supporting capital projects, ensuring compliance with Thai tax and BOI requirements, strengthening financial controls, and partnering closely with engineering and operational teams to drive accurate financial reporting and sound asset management.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role works closely with the Operations Controller, Engineering, Maintenance, Project Teams, and other stakeholders across the Rayong manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end closing processes.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and supporting schedules within assigned areas of responsibility.
• Prepare and submit tax filings, including VAT returns, revenue department reporting, and VAT refund documentation.
• Manage BOI reporting and electronic filings, ensuring compliance with all Board of Investment requirements and regulations.
• Maintain and monitor BOI-related records, including fixed asset registration, machinery tracking, project investments, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of capital expenditures (CAPEX), depreciation, asset transfers, disposals, and lease-related assets where applicable.
• Partner with Engineering and Project teams to monitor investments, validate project capitalization, and maintain compliance with internal policies.
• Support inventory accounting activities related to maintenance and spare parts inventory, including periodic stock counts and reconciliations.
• Verify payments and financial transactions in accordance with internal controls, policies, and approval procedures.
• Maintain supplier master data, including banking information and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and provide supporting documentation for financial, tax, and BOI reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, reporting accuracy, and compliance practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to support business objectives.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in General Ledger accounting, tax compliance, fixed assets, capital projects, and inventory accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Thai tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Experience working in a BOI-promoted manufacturing company, including BOI reporting and compliance activities.
• Understanding of fixed asset accounting, depreciation, capitalization rules, and project accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
• Good written and spoken English and Thai.
