Lead Engineer, Electrical

About the Role

In this position you will join our Built Environmental business and be part of a team of specialists delivering electrical and communications design across building and infrastructure projects. You will lead design coordination, BIM modelling and produce construction documentation to support projects through design and construction phases.

• Design electrical and communication systems for buildings and infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed calculations for electrical and communication systems.
• Prepare and develop detailed Revit models.
• Develop and publish construction documentation; update and modify existing models and construction documents.
• Assist with creating and maintaining standard regional BIM templates.
• Participate in design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution; lead a team and manage information exchange with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide coordination support for requests during construction phases.
• Opportunities to apply skills to projects in other geographies and markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 10 years' experience in design of electrical and communication systems; data centre experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of applying design modelling and drawing principles.
• Working knowledge of software tools such as AutoCAD, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Familiarity with the BIMForum LOD Specification and AIA/NBIMS standards and best practices for BIM collaboration.
• Good knowledge of construction technology and construction practices.
• Good command of English; holding an engineering licence (for Thailand) or a professional engineering license is an advantage.
