Lead and supervise production operators in a high-precision manufacturing environment, ensuring daily output, quality, and safety standards are met. This role involves managing production activities, resolving operational issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

รายละเอียดงาน

About the Role

We are looking for a strong, people-focused, and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to lead frontline manufacturing operations in Lumentum’s high-precision global production environment. This role is responsible for managing daily production activities, ensuring output targets are achieved, maintaining quality and safety standards, and developing operators to perform at high levels. The Production Supervisor works closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth production flow, resolve operational issues, and support continuous improvement. This position may require managing rotating shifts based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise production operators to ensure daily output, quality, and schedule adherence goals are achieved.
  • Plan and allocate manpower by shift, ensuring optimal coverage for all production stations and equipment.
  • Monitor production WIP, line performance, cycle time, and bottlenecks; drive actions to meet production and customer targets.
  • Ensure strict compliance with SOPs, process controls, ESD, safety, and cleanroom standards during all production activities.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering (PE), Quality Engineering (QE), and Equipment teams to resolve production issues, process deviations, or equipment downtime.
  • Support NPI and engineering builds by coordinating manpower, training operators, and ensuring process readiness.
  • Conduct real-time line audits, quality checks, and operator performance observations to prevent quality escapes.
  • Provide coaching, training, and skill development for operators to improve competency, productivity, and flexibility.
  • Maintain shift documentation including production reports, attendance, incident logs, and abnormality reports.
  • Drive 5S, Kaizen, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives in the production area.
  • Ensure proper material, tooling, and fixture readiness by coordinating with Warehouse, Planning, and Engineering teams.
  • Participate in daily/weekly production meetings and communicate shift performance, issues, and recovery plans.
  • Escalate critical issues promptly and coordinate corrective actions to minimize production impact.
  • Perform additional responsibilities or tasks assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Science, or a related field (Diploma/Vocational + strong experience may also be considered).
  • 3–8 years of experience in high-tech, electronics, semiconductor, optical, or precision manufacturing.
  • Minimum 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role managing production teams.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, WIP control, quality standards, and production metrics.
  • Experience working in cleanroom, optical, or high-precision environments is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills with the ability to guide and motivate teams.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and support fast-paced, high-volume production environments.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze issues, drive root cause containment, and implement improvements.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Excel, Word, ERP systems).
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
