Senior Java Developer (Contractor)

About the Role

Join our team as a Senior Java Developer (Contractor) at Seven Peaks to deliver high-quality backend solutions for a diverse range of client projects. This is a contractor/freelance role with hybrid work arrangements; you may work onsite, offsite or remotely depending on client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain robust backend systems using Java.
• Write clean, readable, and efficient code to ensure high performance and maintainability.
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Perform software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging to ensure quality and reliability.
• Ensure software designs align with project specifications and requirements.
• Prepare and execute software releases and support smooth deployment and operation of components.
• Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams, provide regular updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback.
• Integrate with external data sources and APIs; implement new features, resolve bugs, and optimize application performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in backend development, specializing in Java.
• Solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles and familiarity with design/architectural patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to build scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Experience with automated testing (unit and integration testing).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Based in Thailand with flexibility to work onsite/offsite/remote as a freelancer/contractor; preferably Thai nationality or open to relocation to Bangkok or currently residing in Thailand.
