Commercial Project Manager

About the Role

A Snapshot of Your Day: As a Commercial Project Manager at Siemens Energy, you review financials, attend team meetings, manage budgets and contracts, and prepare reports. Your role ensures project success through financial oversight and effective communication and drives commercial excellence with a focus on cost control, performance and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project together with the Project Manager to achieve targeted financial results and ensure alignment with Project Management standards.
• Manage budgets, review financials, assess non-conformance costs (NCCs), and evaluate project risks and opportunities.
• Lead negotiation of contracts, claims and change orders with the PM; address commercial issues or disputes.
• Initiate invoicing according to project milestones and contractual terms; ensure timely cash collection and proactively monitor project cash flow.
• Ensure accuracy of cost and pricing calculations and integrity of all project financial records; apply and monitor financial guarantees / bonds.
• Analyze and explain project performance and cost deviations; perform project closing activities and any other commercial and financial duties assigned.
• Interface and closely collaborate with stakeholders including legal, resource planning, supply chain, logistics, tax and accounting, and regional teams; serve as primary commercial point of contact for clients.
• Ensure compliance with financial guidelines including SAP, Siemens-FRG and local GAAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
• 3–5 years' experience in project accounting / project controlling.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP and MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint); Power BI is an advantage.
• Awareness of commercial and contractual issues; good communication and interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
