Merchandising Consultant in Thailand

MBG is seeking an experienced independent consultant based in Rayong to support supplier order management, production follow-up, and logistics coordination for Thailand-based suppliers. The consultant will act as MBG’s on-the-ground representative to ensure smooth execution from order placement through shipment.

Responsibilities

• Track and follow up on purchase orders with Thailand-based suppliers from placement through shipment.
• Monitor factory production progress and help ensure delivery timelines are met.
• Coordinate with supplier teams on production schedules, material readiness, and capacity planning.
• Provide clear daily updates and structured weekly reports on order status, risks, and shipment readiness.
• Conduct on-site visits to verify production status, factory capacity, and material availability.
• Act as the key point of contact between suppliers and MBG teams (Merchandising Team and China Logistics Team).
• Ensure shipment preparation and local logistics arrangements are completed accurately and on time, including packing readiness, loading timing, cargo readiness, and shipping document readiness.
• Track cargo readiness, export timing, and delivery risks; identify issues early, escalate where needed, and support resolution across stakeholders.
• Coordinate with suppliers and MBG teams to ensure factories properly complete local shipment preparation and logistics arrangements; the consultant will not perform freight booking or logistics execution.
• Travel locally to supplier sites and internationally (e.g., China) as required.

Qualifications

• Based in Rayong, Thailand (required); Thai national preferred.
• Fluency in Thai, English, and Chinese (spoken and written).
• Experience in supplier management, manufacturing operations, or logistics coordination.
• Practical experience in production control, PMC, PO follow-up, supplier coordination, and export shipment preparation.
• Experience supporting export orders, preferably to the U.S. market.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver’s license and own car for local supplier visits required.
