Data Engineer and Architect

About the Role

Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, auditors, and technical teams to design and govern a cloud-native corporate data architecture that reliably feeds predictive AI, behavioral biometrics, and personalized customer experiences while ensuring regulatory compliance and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Corporate Data Standardization: Define, document, and enforce data definitions and business logic to guarantee single-source-of-truth consistency across all corporate-wide reporting and dashboards.
• Bridging Business and AI: Act as the critical translator between business stakeholders and technical pods; break down complex banking and regulatory needs into highly structured data requirements for AI Engineering and Data Science teams.
• Enabling AI Use Cases: Ensure the underlying data architecture is properly structured to feed predictive AI, behavioral biometrics, and hyper-personalized customer experience engines without latency or data quality issues.
• Cloud-Native Blueprinting: Architect a highly scalable, cost-efficient cloud data ecosystem (e.g., Data Lakehouse) that eliminates traditional back-office overhead and supports a branchless operational model.
• Secure by Design: Embed PDPA compliance and strict access controls into the foundational architecture to ensure customer privacy across personalized insights and API integrations.
• Audit, Lineage & Governance: Act as primary point of contact for internal and external audits regarding data operations; establish and maintain comprehensive data lineage tracking data from customer origin through core systems to final regulatory and business reports, and be able to defend report logic to auditors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience blending data architecture, data governance, and technical business analysis within the financial services sector (commercial banks or regulated FinTech).
• Deep, hands-on understanding of Bank of Thailand (BOT) reporting requirements, AML/KYC mandates, and Thai PDPA.
• Strong capability in designing modern cloud data architectures, data modeling, and master data management (MDM).
• Proven track record managing data lineage, working directly with IT auditors, and utilizing data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation).
• Exceptional ability to translate complex technical constraints to key stakeholders while explaining strict regulatory business logic to software and AI engineers.
