Security Officer

Job Purpose:

To be the front line in security operations. Duties include monitoring, preventing, and responding to events that may affect the organization's security.

Key Result Areas:

• Security Patrol & Surveillance - Conduct routine patrols to detect and prevent security threats.
• Incident & Emergency Response - React to emergencies such as fire, theft, or suspicious activities following protocols.
• Access Control & Monitoring - Check and regulate the entry and exit of individuals and vehicles.
• Facility & Asset Protection - Safeguard company property, employees, and visitors.
• Customer Service & Assistance - Assist employees, visitors, and contractors with security-related inquiries.
• Reporting & Record Keeping - Document incidents, daily activities, and suspicious observations.
• Oversee the inspection and readiness of emergency equipment and patrol vehicles, ensuring timely maintenance and reporting any issues.

General:

• Patrol the area of responsibility (Patrolling) both inside and outside the building according to the specified time frame.
• Monitor and prevent unusual events such as suspicious persons, suspicious objects or activities that may be a threat to security.
• Report and take action according to the specified security measures (Security Protocols).
• Check and control the entry and exit of people and vehicles (Access Control).
• Respond to emergency events such as fires, accidents, theft, or disturbances according to the specified procedures.
• Check CCTV and other security systems to work efficiently.
• Monitor movements and identify behaviors that may be a threat to the organization.
• Check the interior and exterior areas of the building (Perimeter Security Checks) to ensure safety from various risks.
• Control and supervise the use of the organization's assets, such as entrances and exits, parking lots, and important areas.
• Provide advice and assistance to employees, customers, or visitors regarding security measures.
• Check and cooperate with other agencies to take care of the safety of employees and visitors.
• Report on information related to safety to the supervisor.

Key Qualifications:

• Proficiency in role at required level.
• Conversant with relevant emergency procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of relevant safety and security procedures.
• Knowledge of relevant guest satisfaction standards.
• English Language requirements met or exceeded.
