Technical Product Owner

About the Role

Ascend Group is hiring a Technical Product Owner to drive product roadmap and ensure alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it reflects product priorities and roadmap.
• Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather technical and business requirements and translate them into user stories or technical specifications.
• Sprint Planning: Work with the development team to plan and prioritize items for upcoming sprints, ensuring clarity and feasibility.
• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between the development team and business stakeholders, providing updates and gathering feedback.
• Tech Stack Oversight: Ensure the technical vision and architecture align with product goals and address any technical debt.
• Quality Assurance: Work with QA teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure the product meets quality standards.
• Product Vision: Contribute to the development of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategy.

Skills

• Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of technology and software development practices to effectively communicate with developers.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Agile Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to manage project workflows.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze user needs, technical capabilities, and business objectives.
• Problem-Solving & Leadership: Skilled in identifying issues, formulating solutions that balance technical constraints and business needs, and guiding the team to drive product success.
