Ukrainian Language Tester

About the Role

We are looking for highly skilled Freelance Ukrainian Localization Testers to join our team on a project-by-project basis. In this role, the freelancer will be a key part of our Quality Assurance process, combining the technical discipline of functional testing with the linguistic precision of linguistic testing. Must be available to work ON-SITE (RWS Bangkok) once we call.

Responsibilities

• Linguistic testing: meticulously check the UI for translation errors, grammatical mistakes, spelling issues, and other linguistic bugs.
• Functional & internationalization testing: identify and report technical issues related to localization, such as text truncation, layout problems, display errors, and regional formatting inconsistencies.
• Bug reporting: clearly document and report issues using internal spreadsheets, providing detailed and actionable information.
• Follow instructions: execute test plans and complex test cases with precision, paying close attention to detailed instructions.

Qualifications

• Native-level language proficiency: must be a native-level speaker of the language applied for, with linguistic expertise that includes cultural nuance, natural flow, and consistent terminology.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot subtle linguistic and functional issues.
• Technical proficiency: comfortable working with various devices (smartphones, smartwatches, etc.) and adept with common software like Google Drive and Google Sheets; able to navigate technical setups and follow complex instructions.
• Critical thinking & troubleshooting: able to independently identify problems, think through solutions, and find efficient ways to get the job done.
• Strong communication: able to clearly and concisely report bugs and provide feedback.
• Experience in localization, quality assurance, or linguistic roles is a significant plus.
