Senior Officer, Material Analysis Lab

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of quality issues reports on time by controlling the KPI team.
• Check test requests carefully to ensure details are complete, sufficient samples are provided, and sample condition is recorded; contact the requestor for queries.
• Perform daily assigned test duties according to standard procedures, considering job priority; record test results in the correct format and prepare draft reports.
• Prepare samples and perform mechanical and material analysis tests using SEM/EDX, OM, XRF, hardness testing, colorimetric methods and cross sectioning.
• Deliver one development or new test method project per year.
• Perform machine cleaning, equipment calibration and maintenance duties.
• Handle samples including storage, disposal and related documentation.
• Maintain environmental conditions and keep the testing area clean and tidy.
• Ensure implementation and compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and ISO/IEC 17025 quality systems.
• Perform any other assignments as required by the superior.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, Metallurgical Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 1 year of experience in a Physical Analysis or Failure Analysis Laboratory; fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds and laboratory experience are welcome to apply.
• Hands-on experience operating SEM/EDX equipment and performing cross-section analysis.
• Good understanding of laboratory testing principles and material characterization techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Good communication and presentation skills and good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, proactive attitude, and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

• Test result recording, report preparation and KPI-based quality reporting.
