About the Role

People Insight Analytics (Data Engineer/ETL) based at The Parq Building. Support People Insight reporting and data tasks under the People Insight Manager, working with Python, SQL, ETL tools, Power BI and database technologies.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of data-related tasks and ensure accountability for delivering accurate and timely results.
• Assist in data collection, cleansing, and organization to ensure data integrity and precision.
• Collaborate with People Insight Manager and business users to analyze data and identify meaningful insights.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to streamline data analysis processes.
• Create and maintain automated data reports and dashboards for various stakeholders (Power BI).
• Perform data management using data warehouse technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle data warehouse.
• Utilize Python and SQL scripts to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Use Excel Script, VBA, or Excel to perform data manipulations and automate processes.
• Create automation data integration flows (Power Automate or other tools).
• Pay meticulous attention to detail to identify and rectify data discrepancies; apply logical thinking and problem-solving to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
• Conduct independent research using online resources to enhance understanding of data-related topics (must be able to google).
• Proactively seek opportunities to expand knowledge and work on ad-hoc data projects as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Proficiency coding in Python and SQL for data analysis and manipulation; strong understanding of SQL scripting and database concepts.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, accountable and persistent.
• Fast learner with strong attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI).

Preferable

• Familiarity with various data types and ability to assess data quality and cleansing needs.
• Proficiency in writing complex scripts such as Transact-SQL (stored procedures/functions).
• Experience with data warehouse tools (Microsoft SQL Server, Synapse, Oracle Datawarehouse, S3, etc.).
• Experience with data pipeline tools such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, SSIS, or Oracle data integration.
• Proficiency in Python using Anaconda and Excel Script/VBA for automation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Oracle, Azure, AWS, or Google).
• Previous data analysis experience or related internships; additional web skills (HTML, CSS, Node.js, JavaScript) are an advantage.
