Tech Lead (CDC)

About the Role

A detail-oriented and experienced technical leader who thrives at the intersection of hands-on engineering and team leadership. This is a hands-on role — you will be expected to write code, conduct code reviews, and be deeply involved in day-to-day technical decisions. As a team player, you know when to ask for help and when to offer it. Open to remote candidates.

Responsibilities

• Drive digital transformation — design and deliver innovative solutions that align with stakeholder needs and build flexible systems that scale.
• Work closely with Head of Engineering, Head of Product, and other stakeholders to define product roadmap and delivery timelines for each release.
• Lead one or more development squads within the Supply Chain tech team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and direction.
• Champion innovative ideas and solutions to tackle complex problems effectively.
• Provide user story backlog sizing and recommendations to ensure backlog items are well-defined and sprint-ready.
• Uphold and enforce code quality standards to meet the team’s engineering goals.
• Actively participate in designing and building complex systems and architectures.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the organization.
• Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of backend OOP languages, preferably Java, Golang, Node.js or other open-source technologies.
• Some experience with React, TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience with relational database querying using SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with GitOps environments such as ArgoCD, Kubestack, or similar tools.
• Experience with automated code deployment tools such as CircleCI, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
• Experience with container technologies Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven leadership experience, with a track record of guiding and growing engineering teams.
• Experience with complex systems and a solid understanding of open API standards and service-oriented architecture.
