Solutions Engineer- Remote

About the Role

As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical elements of the sales process through the discovery of customer requirements and the positioning of our products to meet those needs. You will use your experience and knowledge to clearly articulate our value to the customer through presentations, demonstrations, and the successful completion of proof-of-concept evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver solution presentations, demonstrations and recommendations to prospects and customers.
• Develop technical relationships with existing customers through Quarterly Technical Reviews.
• Assist in response to Requests for Proposals/Information (RFP/RFI).
• Represent BeyondTrust at trade shows, seminars, and other company events.
• Use common sales & marketing applications such as Salesforce, Confluence, Skytap, etc.
• Support technical evaluations of products, including development of Proof-of-Concept success plans.
• Provide support for BeyondTrust partners and continue to develop product and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science (Information Systems) or related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a pre-sales engineer and/or support engineer in privileged access management or adjacent enterprise applications (IAM, SIEM, ITDR, etc.).
• 3+ years of experience working for global software vendors.
• Ability to highlight product differentiators against competitors and present security products at trade shows and conferences.
• Significant experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Mac, Linux/Unix, Active Directory and SQL.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Working knowledge of VMware and Hyper-V virtual environments.

Skills

• Certifications preferred: CISSP, CISA, CCSP, CEH.
• Experience building, supporting, and selling security solutions; experience with BeyondTrust products is a plus.
• DevOps experience is a nice-to-have.
