POSITION SUMMARY

EarnIn is a community-supported financial platform with a suite of tools that let people take control of their financial future. We are looking for an IC4 Design Systems Designer to lead the implementation of a brand redesign across our product and rebuild our system from the ground up.

Your work will directly set the bar for new standards in how we design our products at EarnIn. You'll be responsible for designing a scalable system, defining parameters, and developing the documentation to enable teams across the organization to more efficiently build our products and services. You'll help set direction for the system and build the components, patterns, and tooling that make it real. You'll work closely with engineering across iOS, Android, and web, and with the design team building with the system every day.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Work with the Design team to evolve and extend the visual design language, translating new designs with solid systems thinking
• Evolve the design system for cross-functional collaboration between product and engineering, considering iOS, Android, and Web
• Build component libraries, create high-level pattern guidance, and partner on new features while future-proofing
• Define and document design patterns for reusability
• Guide product designers on how to use the design system to the fullest extent, leveraging existing patterns and extending them when necessary
• Lead the education and adoption of the design system, establishing the guidelines and rulebook for long-term implementation and maintenance
• Build and maintain the AI tooling that turns the system components into working code and prototypes

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 7+ years of experience as a design systems or product designer
• Systems thinker with meticulous attention to detail
• Proven experience leading or collaborating on the creation of design system architecture for digital products
• Experience partnering with engineers to translate Figma designs into production code
• Experience building or using AI tools for Figma-to-code workflows or design tooling
• Strong Figma craft: component properties, variants, auto layout, and tokens
• Comfortable writing documentation other designers actually use
• Ability to set the bar for new standards in how we should design our product
• Strong understanding of how systems integrate into workflows and ability to collaborate cross-functionally on implementation
• Knowledgeable about WCAG requirements, Android, and iOS guidelines
• Figma magician; experience with HTML, CSS, SVG, or Markdown is a plus
