About the Company
St Andrews International School Bangkok is one of 88 schools in the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) family. We offer a British educational curriculum that begins in Nursery and leads to IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma. We are an inclusive school on a campus of more than 2,400 students representing some 68 nationalities. As part of NAE we collaborate with institutions including The Juilliard School, MIT, and UNICEF.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support for a student with special educational needs in the Primary School STARS Program.
- Work as a key member of the Learning Support team, collaborating closely with classroom teachers, specialist staff, therapists, and parents.
- Help the student access the mainstream curriculum and develop independence, confidence, and social skills.
- Build a caring, nurturing relationship with the assigned student and promote self-esteem.
- Implement consistent and supportive learning plans in coordination with teachers and follow the student's Individual Learning Plan.
- Support the student during lessons, breaks, and social times to encourage participation and engagement.
- Adapt and prepare learning materials, provide clear instructions and visual/verbal cues, and apply professional development strategies in the classroom.
- Assist during school trips, community activities, and school events.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Thai and English and familiarity with Thai culture are essential.
- Legal right to work in Thailand.
- Compassionate, reliable, punctual, fully engaged throughout the school day, patient, and a positive team player committed to inclusive education.
- Ability to follow strategies outlined in an Individual Learning Plan, communicate regularly with parents, and collaborate with therapists and teachers.
- Enthusiastic about ongoing professional learning.
- All post holders in regulated activity are subject to national and international vetting procedures including satisfactory criminal record checks from country of residence/birth and any country of residence within the last 10 years.
