Sr. Accountant

About the Role

As Sr. Accountant at Electrical Components International, you will lead financial reporting and accounting operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with TAS/IFRS/GAAP
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff including performance management, training, and career development planning; manages 3-4 accounting staff members
• Manage and streamline month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Supervise AP/AR processes, cash management, and collections activities to optimize working capital
• Assist in annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecasts
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors and coordinate internal audit activities and responses
• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, implement automation, and improve operational efficiency
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
• Partner with operations, sales, and HR teams to support business initiatives with financial expertise
• Oversee accounting software systems, lead implementations, and ensure data integrity across financial platforms

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with 5+ years in a supervisory role
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
• Registered accountant with the Federation of Accounting Professions (FAP) is required or strongly preferred and must maintain CPD compliance in accordance with FAP regulations
• Proficient in both Thai and English (must)
• Experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation

Skills

• Knowledge of TAS and IFRS; tax accounting and compliance requirements
• Accounting software proficiency and systems management
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
• Strong communication, planning and execution capabilities
