Project Manager (Mid - Senior Level) - Fixed term contract 2 years

About the Role

Responsible for planning and leading teams to deliver projects that span across teams from internal and external. Manage resources, schedules, and budget. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful commitment with quality and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. Senior Project Manager might be required to coach and mentor junior staff and ensure that they can manage the projects properly.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to define project scope, objective, dependencies, and timeline.
• Estimate resources and cost to reach objective and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
• Prepare budget and track project costs to meet budget plan and prepare the financial and procurement documents for both purchaser and vendor contract.
• Work with project teams to develop and manage a detailed project plan for all phases of the projects.
• Manage teams to find solutions with relevance and related teams.
• Manage backlog prioritization, resource utilization and change management.
• Organize project/sprint grooming, planning, progress updates, demos, and deployment; produce minutes summarizing key points, issues, and actions.
• Monitor, track, and control project progress; resolve issues, blockers, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
• Manage project quality for both functional and non-functional requirements following defined standards.
• Communicate project progress, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues including proposed mitigation plans to stakeholders.
• Build and motivate project team members to meet project goals and adhere to responsibilities and milestones.
• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement and run process improvement activities such as retrospectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related fields.
• 3-7 years’ experience in IT project management, IT software delivery or IT consulting.
• Knowledge of fundamental Project Management processes, methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Project Management certificate such as PMP or Agile certificate is a plus.
• Experience in Software Project Management in Banking or Financial / Insurance industry.
• Ability to encourage and enable people to work together as a team to accomplish the project.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
