Manufacturing Engineer (Teradyne, Chachoengsao - Thailand)

Work Location: Chachoengsao, onsite at Thailand contract manufacturing site. TERADYNE supports innovation and encourages learning and inclusion across its workforce. The Senior Manufacturing Engineering role supports Teradyne’s Contract Manufacturer (CM) and joins a team supporting facilities in Penang, Cebu and Chachoengsao.

Responsibilities

• Support all manufacturing activities at Teradyne's Contract Manufacturer in Chachoengsao.
• Support the Supply Line Management organization in the qualification of new suppliers and new products.
• Work closely with New Product teams to transition products from New Product status to High Volume Manufacturing.
• Enforce strict process control and establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters and process controls.
• Lead selection, implementation, and maintenance of efficient manufacturing equipment and procedures for assigned product(s).
• Apply knowledge of DFM processes, reporting and tools; review weekly yield reports and drive RCCA and closure with CM Quality teams.
• Create/review ECOs, Deviations, MCOs, and RCOs and build strong partnerships with CMs to improve overall performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10–15 years experience, or Master's degree with 5–10 years experience.
• Experience in a PCBA manufacturing environment.
• Familiar with IPC standards and certification; PTH, SMT, and ROHS processes.
• Familiar with aqueous cleaning processes and flux chemistry; demonstrated strength in solder-related processes.
• Knowledgeable in flux chemistry interactions (no-cleans, intermetallic bonding, ion chromatography) and proven experience with reflow profiling and thermal margins.
• Failure analysis experience required; familiarity with equipment maintenance (pick-and-place, mini wave, inline cleaner preferred).
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical assembly of HLAs and systems and willingness to travel.
