Responsibilities

• Ensure acceptable quality, reliability, conformance, and performance for all New Products (NPI/HAMR) manufactured in Head operations to meet customer specifications and requirements
• Set up, maintain, and improve in-process and outgoing quality of the slider fabrication / head process for visual and mechanical specifications
• Monitor and improve LAR, DPPM, and Cpk for CTF parameters as identified in the control plan
• Monitor and review NPI build performance in each build phase
• Communicate and liaise with cross-functional teams for quality improvement activities
• Attend daily operations, core team, and NPI build meetings
• Ensure all changes undergo documented change management systems and are validated before implementation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Science, or equivalent
• At least 5–6 years in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 4 years in a quality function
• Preferred: Experience in the HDD business, especially the slider fabricating process
• Preferred: Understanding of quality tools and ability to perform 8D, FMEA, SPC, and lessons learned
• Preferred: Understanding of 4IR and digital transformation

Skills

• Good command of spoken and written English
• Computer literacy: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Power BI and SQL
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems: ISO 9001, 14001, 45001
