Coding Specialist (Fluent in Chinese) - Freelance AI Trainer Project

About the Role

Are you a coding expert fluent in Chinese eager to shape the future of AI? Large-scale language models are evolving beyond chatbots into engines of scientific discovery. We need coding specialists to help train and evaluate models by providing high-quality technical interactions and documenting failure modes in Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Converse with the model in Chinese on software engineering tasks and technical scenarios.
• Challenge models on topics such as asynchronous programming, RESTful API integration, memory management, object-oriented design, secure coding practices, and debugging distributed systems.
• Verify logical accuracy and coding fluency, and assess naturalness and correctness of Chinese language usage.
• Capture reproducible error traces, document failure modes, and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
• Provide clear, metacognitive explanations—"show your work"—and contribute to technical writing or evaluation artifacts in Chinese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related technical field is ideal; equivalent real-world coding experience is acceptable.
• Strong coding background across algorithms, data structures, software architecture, frontend and backend development, cloud infrastructure, and systems programming.
• Fluent in Chinese (reading, writing, and speaking); experience producing technical documentation or technical writing in Chinese preferred.
• Open-source contributions, prior model-evaluation experience, or relevant technical writing signal fit.
• Clear, metacognitive communication and ability to produce reproducible test cases and error traces; Mid–Senior level contributors preferred.

Skills / Required Skills

• Practical experience with programming and debugging complex systems, plus familiarity with prompt engineering and model evaluation.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, version control, and cloud environments.

Benefits

• Contractor pay range: $8 to $65 per hour; exact rate determined by experience, expertise, and geographic location. Final offers may vary from the range listed.
