Senior/Lead ATE Test Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior / Lead ATE Test Engineer to own and drive CP / FT test solution development, NPI bring-up, and high volume manufacturing support for analog and mixed-signal IC products. This role emphasizes end-to-end technical ownership across test architecture, ATE software and hardware solutions, yield and quality performance, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Define and own CP/FT test strategies based on product specifications and DFT requirements, balancing test coverage, quality, test time, and cost
• Lead development, debugging, and optimization of ATE test programs on platforms such as Teradyne ETS, Teradyne UltraFLEX, SPEA, and NI STS
• Establish robust test methodologies for precision analog, ADC/DAC, DSP, and power management ICs
• Lead or review ATE test hardware solutions including load boards and probe cards; drive technical reviews with suppliers to ensure design robustness, correlation, and manufacturability
• Manage supplier interfaces from engineering validation through mass production
• Lead NPI test bring-up and ensure smooth transition into volume manufacturing; support characterization and reliability tests (e.g., HTOL) and provide PI risk–related test coverage
• Monitor production data to identify yield degradation, test escapes, and test stability or correlation issues; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions with cross-functional teams
• Continuously optimize test time, hardware cost, and test limits; lead or contribute to cost-down initiatives in high volume production
• Collaborate with Design, Product Engineering, Packaging, and Quality teams; provide early test feasibility, coverage, and risk assessments during product definition phases
• Mentor junior engineers, promote best practices in test development and release, and develop/maintain clear, structured test documentation and standards

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree or above in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, Integrated Circuits, Automation, or related disciplines
• Experience: 3+ years of ATE test development experience in the semiconductor industry with proven support of NPI and high-volume manufacturing
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with at least one major ATE platform (Teradyne ETS, Teradyne UltraFLEX, NI STS); strong understanding of precision analog measurement, ADC/DAC testing, and power management IC test principles; proficiency in test development languages such as C / C++ / VB and ability to design structured, scalable, maintainable test software
• Other: Demonstrated ownership in solving yield, quality, or test-coverage–related issues; experience in ATE test hardware design and supplier management
• Preferred: Experience with analog or mixed-signal IC testing; familiarity with Cadence or other EDA tools; basic knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and Failure Analysis (FA); experience acting as a technical lead or mentoring engineers; Chinese speaking ability is a plus
