09 - Senior Lead Engineer, Program/Project Mgmt

About the Company

Celestica is a global provider of end-to-end product lifecycle solutions serving markets including enterprise computing, communications, aerospace & defense, industrial, smart energy, healthtech and semiconductor. Location: Laem Chabang, Chonburi, Thailand. Work arrangement: onsite. Employment type: full time.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and coordinate prototype builds to ensure new assemblies are completed on time and on budget.
• Provide feedback to engineering and support groups to ensure smooth transition from prototype to production and support product handoffs to manufacturing.
• Review and interpret customer specifications and verify conformance to customer, industry and company standards.
• Provide engineering expertise for technical issues across the product lifecycle (conception to obsolescence) and work closely with customers on new product design.
• Gather, convert and validate customer data into usable manufacturing information; assist in selecting and programming manufacturing equipment and support first production runs.
• Develop specialized tools to automate and ease assembly/test development and execute assembly/test strategy for new products, including DFx analysis and feedback.
• Accountable for quality of work delivered by external suppliers as applicable; influence stakeholders and resolve conflicts to meet goals.
• Lead project teams or work groups and provide advice/guidance with occasional coaching from supervisors.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of design processes for systems and printed circuit boards, subassemblies or related products.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, SMT manufacturing, equipment, materials and components used for systems and PCBs.
• Strong knowledge of industry and quality standards, SPC methodologies and statistical process control methods and techniques.
• Knowledge of material science, robotics and machine programming; ability to design tests, evaluate results and recommend process improvements.
• Ability to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot problems and determine root cause using data analysis.
• Knowledge of product pricing, contracts and contract negotiations; excellent customer contact, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
• Good presentation, database management and computer skills; familiarity with IT platforms, database management systems and operating systems such as UNIX/NT.
