About the Role

Luxury Hotel/Resort experienced Director of Meetings & Events (MICE) – Bali, Indonesia. Onsite, full-time role for a senior MICE leader to drive strategic growth, sales performance, and luxury event execution across Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions for a complex of luxury and award-winning properties in Bali. Key focus is multi-unit leadership, revenue generation, global partnerships, brand positioning and high-profile event delivery aligned with luxury service standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive MICE strategy aligned with business and brand objectives.
• Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities across domestic and international segments.
• Set annual revenue targets, sales forecasts, and performance benchmarks.
• Lead sales initiatives targeting corporate accounts, event planners, associations, government entities, and international agencies.
• Build and maintain relationships with global partners, corporate clients, associations, international agencies, PCOs and key industry stakeholders.
• Represent the property at trade shows, industry events, and sales missions.
• Negotiate large-scale contracts and ensure profitability.
• Develop and manage annual MICE budgets and ensure ROI delivery; optimize pricing strategies through effective revenue management.
• Monitor KPIs, conversion rates, pipeline performance, and overall ROI.
• Oversee end-to-end event execution with Operations, Catering, Banquets, and Guest Experience teams to maintain luxury service standards and client satisfaction.
• Recruit, train and mentor a high-performing MICE sales and events team; implement structured sales processes and CRM utilization best practices.
• Support marketing collateral and campaigns and drive innovation in event concepts, experiential design and technology integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 8–12 years of progressive MICE experience at Director level in luxury hospitality or integrated hotel/resort environments, with multi-unit responsibility.
• Extensive international and SE Asia experience, with exposure in Thailand, Macao and Vietnam preferred.
• Proven track record managing large-scale conferences, incentives and international events; demonstrable revenue growth, contract negotiation and budget ownership.
• Strong leadership capabilities, cross-cultural communication skills and a strong MICE network (corporate, associations, international agencies, PCOs).
• Analytical skills with CRM and revenue management system knowledge.
