Planner - Tubular Running Services (TRS)

Job Overview

The Planner is responsible for prepareing production schedules and establishing sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates.

Responsibilities

• Plan and order all related tools and materials from local vendors for the production line
• Manage new orders as per procedure
• Revise pick date, ship date and ship date as per production meetings
• Raise work order, communicate with production/workshop/buyers/machine shop to ensure all necessary work is completed
• Identify key list of orders and chase up with buyers and planners on these daily
• Communicate with vendors for key purchase order items as well
• Any other tasks requested by the planning supervisor/manager or the manufacturing manager

Skills

• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Ability to work as part of cross-functional teams
• Good understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)
• Good communication skills (oral and written). Ability to effectively interface and collaborate with all departments to ensure positive results
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Qualifications

• 1-3 years planning and ordering tools and materials in workshop/manufacturing environment (in Oil & Gas industry is a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline
