Angular Engineer

About the Role

As an Angular Engineer, you will review AI-generated Angular code, frontend architectures, and technical explanations, and produce high-quality reference implementations and step-by-step reasoning for complex engineering problems. This is a fully remote, hourly paid contractor role with SME Careers (a subsidiary of SuperAnnotate) focused on improving AI models by providing expert frontend engineering feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess AI-generated Angular solutions for correctness, clarity, accessibility, security, performance, and adherence to the prompt.
• Produce high-quality reference implementations and written explanations that demonstrate best practices and clear reasoning.
• Identify issues in Angular change detection, RxJS streams, state management, routing, forms, SSR (Angular Universal), hydration, and bundle performance.
• Fact-check technical information and validate model recommendations across real-world use cases.
• Evaluate, rank, and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness and reasoning quality to optimize AI performance.
• Create detailed prompts across Angular topics and write reference answers to guide AI learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years professional experience building production web applications with Angular (Angular 12+ preferred; Angular 16/17+ a strong plus).
• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and Angular fundamentals: components, modules/standalone APIs, DI, services, pipes, directives, guards, and interceptors.
• Strong understanding of RxJS (observables, operators, multicasting, error handling, cancellation) and reactive UI patterns.
• Deep knowledge of Angular performance: change detection strategies (OnPush), async pipe patterns, zone.js considerations, signals (if applicable), trackBy, and rendering optimization.
• Experience with Angular routing, forms and validation (Reactive Forms, custom validators, form performance, UX patterns).
• Familiarity with SSR and deployment patterns (Angular Universal / SSR, hydration, caching, and security considerations).
• Experience with testing and quality: Jasmine/Karma or Jest, Angular Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright, linting, CI/CD.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency (written and spoken) with ability to write clear technical explanations and follow detailed English-language guidelines.
• Proven experience conducting detailed code reviews and enforcing coding standards for maintainability, correctness, and accessibility.
• Previous experience with AI data training, annotation, or evaluating AI-generated technical content is a strong plus.
• Highly detail-oriented and systematic, with a methodical approach to evaluating reasoning quality and identifying subtle issues in complex UI code.
