Project Manager (Solar Business)

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage energy services projects spanning the domains of Solar PV, Energy Storage Systems, Electrical grid etc.
• Ensure all projects are managed and carried out safely, timely, within budget and according to the agreed specifications and requirements.
• Carry out all project works which include, but not limited to preparation of project schedules, cost estimates, work procedures and specifications; initiating procurement process for purchase of equipment and services; seeking authorities' approvals; and close monitoring and supervision of works etc.
• Supervise and manage contractors at sites to ensure works comply with statutory requirements, standards, codes, contract specifications, best industry practices and workplace safety and health requirements.
• Coordinate and work closely with authorities, consultants and other SP Group sections to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of the projects.
• Oversee and manage ongoing operation matters, execution of process for billing to customer, on-site verification of maintenance and inspection activities for projects.
• Initiating procurement process from calling of quotations/tenders leading to award of existing Solar PV Systems, Energy Storage Systems, Electrical grid etc.
• Able to analyze and evaluate operational technical and statistical data and provide necessary corrective and preventive actions.
• Able to independently manage stakeholders, execute and manage projects (sole contributor)
• Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 6 to 8 years experience in managing and handling large scale projects, preferably in Solar PV projects
• Well versed in Microsoft Project
