About the Company

BRED IT (Thailand) Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of the French bank BRED Banque Populaire (BPCE Group). Established in 2008 as the IT hub for BRED Group commercial banks in Southeast Asia, the Pacific and the Horn of Africa, BRED IT supports multiple BRED banks and provides remote IT services to Paris headquarters. The company hosts and manages all layers of BRED international banks' information systems (infrastructure to applications) on a 24x7 basis. Activities include projects built with Java, COBOL, PHP, DataStage and production/DevOps.

About the Role

Job Title: Linux Middleware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deploy and update technical components for business applications and ensure availability and performance of production environments
• Provide level 2 technical support, manage incidents and problems, perform root cause analysis and routine application maintenance
• Configure and deploy new application releases on Linux & OpenShift, define deployment procedures and identify repetitive tasks to automate
• Implement strategic projects with application stakeholders and suppliers, migrate applications to new versions, perform WebLogic installation and patching
• Create and maintain BMC Control-M jobs (full in-house training provided) and delegate level 1 support & monitoring tasks to 24/7 Operations Center team
• Perform basic database tasks (restart, query execution) and contribute to continuous improvement of IT production processes
• On-call standby required (night/weekends)

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science / engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position
• Problem-solving attitude; reactive, proactive and disciplined; strong team spirit
• Fluent in English with good communication skills
• Experience and good knowledge of Linux (Red Hat) environments and understanding of application interactions and dependencies in distributed architectures

Technical Skills

• Linux (Red Hat) environments
• At least one application server: JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, OpenShift
• Zabbix monitoring is a plus; BMC Control-M experience is a plus
