R&D Power Electronics Sr. Engineer – Automotive Business Unit

About the Role

Location: Delta Electronics Thailand, RD Center, Samutprakarn
Working Hours: 7:40 - 17:25 (Mon - Fri) / Onsite
Department: Automotive Business Unit (APEBU)

Power electronics engineer responsible for assisting in developing power converter hardware (AC/DC, DC/DC) for automotive applications, working closely with European or US EV makers. Expatriates are welcome but should have relevant experience (at least 7+ years).

Responsibilities

• Perform power stage/circuit calculation & design, circuit simulation, stability analysis and selection of active/passive components
• Troubleshoot power converters and produce technical documentation
• Collaborate with digital control, magnetics, mechanical, thermal and firmware engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable and reliable

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s Degree or PhD in power electronics preferred
• At least 7+ years of relevant experience; experience in the automotive industry is a plus
• Strong technical background in circuit analysis, power converters and control theory
• Basic knowledge of digital circuits; ability to troubleshoot and analyze technical problems
• Verbal and written English communication skills; ability to travel overseas (Europe, China)
• Professional working attitude, high responsibility, good teamwork and eagerness to learn new technologies

Technical Skills

• Circuit design and simulation for AC/DC and DC/DC converters
• Stability analysis and component selection for power stages
• Documentation of technical findings and troubleshooting reports
