Operations Capability Manager

About the Role

• Drive plant performance by deep dive, gap analysis, applying Lean Six-Sigma to identify opportunities for improvements.
• Initiate, manage and drive the implementation of productivity projects to achieve AOP target.
• Drive digitalization projects to be implemented as plan and get benefits as target.
• Lead TPM program and activities with cross functional teams.
• Deliver plant performance reporting and validate the data to ensure accurate numbers reported.
• Drive sustainability agenda with Engineering team.
• Enhance and sustain team capabilities in terms of Lean Six-Sigma, TPM, technical knowledge of operations.
• Deliver any special assignment as business need.

Responsibilities

• Drive plant performance in terms of true efficiency, material efficiencies, labor efficiency, utilities efficiencies by deep dive and gap analysis using Lean Six-Sigma methodology; work with cross-functional teams to ensure action plans are in place and executed to get expected results.
• Lead brainstorming sessions and initiate new ideas to identify productivity opportunities with cross-functional teams.
• Drive and manage implementation of productivity projects/initiatives to gain savings as expected and report productivity saving vs plan; govern productivity estimation and saving realization according to business framework.
• Drive digitalization projects initiated by team or deployed from OU/Global to be implemented as planned and gain target benefits.
• Lead TPM program with cross-functional teams to drive TPM pillars and TPM culture integration.
• Deliver plant performance reports in reporting system with accurate data; ensure reporting numbers from other functions are correct and follow global definition/framework.
• Co-drive sustainability agenda including projects, assessment, deep dive and actions with Engineering team to ensure achieving target milestones.
• Develop team capabilities in Lean Six-Sigma and TPM; enhance technical capability of operation teams with Plant Specialist and Experts and develop capability build-up programs and platform to sustain knowledge and skills for newcomers.
• Take responsibility for any other assignments that company assigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Science or related field. Postgraduate in Engineering/Science/MBA or related field is preferable.
• 5-8 years experience in driving performance in manufacturing.
• Proven experience in Lean Six-Sigma projects, cost reduction/productivity program, TPM.
• Proven experience in gap analysis and statistical analysis; experience in implementation of digitalization projects.
• Experience in managing and driving cross-functional teams and in team capability build-up program set up.
• Good project management skill as a team lead/member in cross-functional environment.
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to influence/drive across all levels of stakeholders in the organization; good strategic and analytic thinking and leadership skills.
• Good communication in Thai and English.
• Good knowledge and experience in Lean/Six Sigma methodology and TPM. Certified Green Belt or Black Belt is preferable.
• Demonstrate creativity and continuous improvement mindset.
• Good computer skills, e.g. Microsoft Office, Minitab, PowerBI, PowerApp.
