About the Role

Senior Accountant (AR, Cash & Thailand Accounting) responsible for Accounts Receivable, cash movements, and local statutory and corporate bookkeeping for the Thailand entity, ensuring accurate transaction recording, timely collection, tax compliance and cashflow control. The role works closely with Sales, local tax agents and the APAC Finance team.

Responsibilities

• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile Accounts Receivable; perform daily cash application and bank reconciliation.
• Control customer invoices, contracts, receipts and payment allocations; monitor unapplied cash, outstanding AR and overdue balances.
• Prepare weekly AR ageing, collection status and cashflow forecast; directly follow up with customers to ensure timely collection.
• Maintain full local bookkeeping for the Thailand entity in compliance with Thai accounting standards and local GAAP; support preparation of local trial balance and monthly closing.
• Prepare and review VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT) and statutory tax filings; support tax audits and inspections.
• Review and improve AR, cash and tax control processes; ensure data accuracy between sales, AR, tax and bank records.
• Prepare and submit Thailand monthly financial package for Group reporting; reconcile local TB to Group reporting and prepare AR, cash, tax and intercompany schedules for consolidation.
• Support month-end and year-end close, group audit, internal audit and HQ finance requests; investigate and explain variances vs budget, forecast and prior month.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in AR, cash and local accounting for Thailand with strong understanding of VAT and WHT.
• Solid knowledge of local GAAP and bookkeeping principles, month-end closing and reconciliations.
• Experience liaising with external accounting firms and tax agents and supporting tax audits.
• Hands-on experience with accounting systems / ERP and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, reconciliations).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; high accuracy and attention to detail.
