Language Alignment & Resource Partner (Lao) - Freelance AI Trainer Project

About the Role

We are sourcing independent Language Alignment & Resource Partners (LARPs) to provide native-level Lao language vetting and QA for a specialized AI data project. The objective is to evaluate, annotate, and validate data to ensure outputs are natural, polished, and free from bias.

Responsibilities

• Review, annotate, and test AI outputs for grammatical accuracy, naturalness, and strict cultural context.
• Act as a primary quality check during production to proactively identify and correct subtle cultural errors or awkward phrasing in Lao.
• Analyze task quality trends and autonomously develop educational resources and feedback documentation to increase alignment between AI outputs and campaign expectations.
• Provide native-level language vetting and specialized linguistic consultation during project scaling and throughout production.
• Operate autonomously to provide linguistic QA and develop alignment resources.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable work or educational experience in linguistics, education, or other fields requiring high attention to linguistic detail.
• Prior, tangible experience working in human data evaluation or annotation.
• Verified Lao language proficiency of C1 or C2.
• Ability to transform raw feedback and quality trends into structured, actionable educational resources.
• Meticulous approach to language with the ability to identify and correct even subtle unnatural phrasing.

Benefits

• Pay range: $6 to $65 per hour, with exact rate determined by experience, expertise, and geographic location.
• As a contractor you must supply a secure computer and high-speed internet; company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
